My kids (10 months, 5 years, 9 years) don't even believe in SANTA much less any of the other hoo-ha stories.

I once had a long heartfelt conversation with our old dog (RIP) late, late on Christmas Eve. Then I put away the bottle and went to bed.

I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairey; because my Mommy told me so and my DW agrees!!!!!

The single most frightening thing my wife ever said to me: "That's OK, Dear. I'm not angry any more, and I forgive you. Now go to sleep." She was kidding, I think . . .

I grew up in a house that had a coal burning fireplace (tiny), each year until I was about 17, my bros and I had to shovel a ton of coal in to the coal bin in the basement before the onset of winter.

And yes, I got a lump of coal in my stocking one year. I was a bad boy.
