So, if you go to your local magazine shop this morning, you'll see the latest copy of Esquire Magazine with a neat gimmick - EPaper embedded in the front cover, with a simple animated text display.

Of course, we immediately bought one in the office, and tore it open - here's what we found:

Ah...yes...right there in the middle, 6 CR2016 batteries.

On Amazon, they are 2 for $3.49 ($1.74 Each).
The cover price of Esquire Magazine is $5.99, so you pay $0.99 each for the batteries and you get a free magazine!

Lighthound is a good source for flashlights and batteries, too. Here's a link to their page, where they have them for 29 cents each:

Lighthound button cell batteries

I've bought stuff from them in the past and been very satisfied. This vendor's highly regarded on candlepowerforums.com. And now, the usual "I'm not affiliated" disclaimer.

I've found the magazine here, but none of them have the little battery powered animation. Apparently it's a pretty limited thing/collectors item.

No, but the little battery powered animation in the Esquire magazine might be, as they didn't make that many. wink
