Once again there were a few very interesting surprises at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market last week in Salt Lake City. In an effort to speed up the process, I’m going to publish this review of new products in stages over the next few days.

We start with a look at the coolest new product I found and Ultimate Survival Technologies' new "Sparkie" compact one-handed firestarter.

Enjoy!

That "Flip-N-Zip" would have spared me from many a headache over the years. All I can say is... I want one!

One? I want a score of them! I could use one right now to "fix" my Jumbo so the CCW pouch is zipped the right way, have a couple bags like that.

*watches the video, trying not to drool*

The Sparkie is cool, but the Flip-N-Zip is just amazing.

Good kit. Hope to see both at a vendor near me, soon.

Thanks, Doug!

The flip & Zip looks like an excellent expedient fix for a broken zipper. In the demo, it looked like there wasn't a zipper stop, which would be necessary to complete the repair.
