It's packed up and ready to go, but I haven't had a chance to bring it to the post office yet. Stupid new rules, can't drop packages over 1 pound in the mailbox. I taped a Countycomm coin cell flashlight to the outside of the book, to start your kit with.

Just got the book. Thanks for it and the light. Much brighter than I thought it would be. I'm going to get a pack from CountyComm and pass them out among my friends.

If anyone wants the book after a week or two, let me know.

I'm glad the stuff arrived ok. One warning about the CC light, they can turn on accidentally if you drop them (the weight of the batteries pushes the switch sled forward) and the batteries can drain that way. You'll notice I put a piece of scotch tape over the switch of the one I sent you, to prevent that from happening. If you put the light in a PSK, you probably want to leave the tape on it until you want to use it.

There's another light that I like better these days, a Photon II clone being sold for $1.25 by KevinL at CPF. See the "Tiny PSK light" thread on the survival section of this board for some more info. He also has a $1.75 version that's about 1/3 the size of a Photon (that's what the "tiny" thread is about) but that's a less practical light unless you're trying to absolutely minimize your kit size (e.g. Altoids mini-tin).

Good to know. I'm currently using the light as EDC but I imagine that i'll stock away a few for kit purposes. Thank you again!

Brome,

Sorry it took so long to respond. I've been away from the internet for the past week or so. PM me again to let me know you still want the book and I'll send it out today. Again, I apologise for the delay.
