The plan is to put it through it's paces during the May long weekend (same with the Snow & Nealley axes if you were following that thread as well since I've rehandled the one crooked one)...SAR training and an extra healthy does of real life has kept me from straying too far from home lately.

Helped set up this tent at the Sacramento, California REI store. Really wanted to like it. Air beam technology worked great and I hope to see it in future tent variations.

Even in the pretty well air conditioned store it was got stuffy after a while: ventilation not adequate for our 100+ degree summer heat.

For a big guy or two people, normal activity included a lot of tent wall contact. This would mean condensation wetness will communicate to you and your stuff.

Vestibules not adequate size for much gear.

The other customer who did nuch of the setup was several inches taller than my 6'2+". His evaluation the same only more so.

Verdict: this is not a hot weather / climate tent, and will be a problem for bigger folk.

Really liked the technology.

I just got home from 3 nights in Jasper.

I'm just uploading photo's to Flickr now...review to come later today.

The days were 20C or warmer and the nights were around -2C. There was NO condensation on the walls even where we were touching (which was all around thanks to our Queen sized sleeping bag). I had a tiny bit of condensation on my RidgeRest pad but none of it soaked into the sleeping bag so I wasn't concerned. There was also a tiny bit on the inside of the vestibule but this would only get you wet if you got out of the tent in a really clumsy way.

Even the smallest breeze flowed through very well...something you might not have been able to experience indoors. I did not find the tent stuffy in the least...even during a mid-afternoon nap.

Stay tuned for the review. It will be up today.
