I think I once read about an experiment conducted where people were welcomed to a really nice hotel suite/private resort, where they were served hand and foot. After a day or so of really nice treatment, the subjects would wake up to no water, no power, no phones, and totally alone in this deserted resort area. They were then watched to see how they would react.

Did this happen, and, if so, where can I read more about it? Or is it just me and my wild imagination? I'd like to see what some of these people did, if it's true...

I have never heard of such an experiment. That isn't to say a study like that might not have been done. Sounds like beginning of a Twilight Zone episode.

No answer but no great loss.

Bump.

Sounds like it would be lots of fun.

Sounds like the premise for yet another bad reality TV show. But hey, with the writers' strike, maybe you can make some money selling it to the TV networks.

I've never heard of an actual experiment like this.
