Perform a due diligence background research on the individual and/or company that you anticipate using. Way too many self proclaimed experts in the field. Call references, do web research, ask open ended leading questions that don't have a simple "yes or no" response. Folks that really are good at what they do and have good ethics will not be offended by having their qualifications checked / questioned. Regards, Comanche7

I have visited Career Centers at local colleges to acquire free information. Completing a skills assessment "inventory"or review can be a real eye opener to help a career changer understand other options for work.

Johnson O'Connor is an interesting way to find out what aptitudes you have and thus whether you might be pursuing something you might not find comes easily.
Not career coaching exactly but definitely helpful information.

I did this years ago and am paying for my nieces to take when they get old enough.
