with's keychain sixed tool should i chose as an primary EDC tool ? ( local law doesnt allow full sized tools because of the blade size ) since mine current tool, a coast micro toolbox lacks some importent features.
i'm thinking of buying a leathermen squirt P4 or a swisstech micro plus and a swisstech utilitykey ( those 2 cost combined almost the same as a squirt ) or an sebertech M4, but i havent seen that one in the store's...

so what is proberbly the best choice ?

I can only talk about the Sebertech M2. I have owned it for 2 years and it has given good service. I use the screwdrivers often and they have held up well with virtually no damage. I used the pliers to turn my corroded battery terminals. They did well, no damage whatsoever.

It's a decent little tool for what it is. One caviat though. An idiot at the security terminal at the local INS office had to call his supervisor to look at the tiny thing and get a ruling on whether the tiny wire cutters were "edged weapons." I didn't have to surrender them.

In summary they are not my Leatherman, but for less than $15 they are usefull and more than a toy.

The Swiss-Tech MicroPlus. Every time I DON'T carry it, I regret not having it on me.

My vote goes for the Squirt P4 if you have the dough.
If you are looking for a tool with pliers then the sebertechs are the deal. If its scissors and screwdrivers and small blade are what you want you may want to consider a mini SAK....

Just my 2 cents.....

I love my P4, and have given away two P4's and two S4's as Christmas gifts.

I chose the P4 because of the pliers, and passed on the S4 for EDC because the scissors was redundant to the knife. Sometimes I regret giving up the scissors because I used to use the Leatherman Micro's scissors to trim my nasal hairs. But in a survival situation, I'd rather have the pliers and let my nasal hairs grow.

Yeah, I agree. The wife liked my old leatherman, but wanted something that would fit in her pocket or pocketbook and the P4 fits the bill nicely. Gave it to her last night and she's already fixed a couple things with it. Yep, she likes it. <img src="images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Anyways, if it were a true survival situation, a real man could always get those nose hairs out with the pliers...

(Or is there a survival function for nose hairs that I'm not familiar with?)
