Usually, if asked "what's that thing you carry?" I reply "Holster"...
Typically no further inquiry.

Christina,

The only acceptable names for bags that a man might carry:

1) Saddle bags
2) Backpack
3) Briefcase

BTW - the site does have some interesting gear blush

Guess I'm just too "insecure with my manhood" to carry the man-bag.

"Man-bag" sounds like it is over-compensating. It's a bit like "social science" - you just know that no subject with "science" in its name is a real science. Proper science subjects have names like "biology" or "physics".

I call mine a waist-pack or sometimes a shoulder-bag.

Does it matter what someone calls them? They're just a container to put stuff into. Period.

A Civil War buff might call it a haversack.

How about calling it an oversized Possibles Bag?

My wife begged me not to call my Fatboy a "man-bag" or "murse" or anything other the "my Fatboy".

Being a good married man, I've learned to do what I'm told.
