Shasta Dam & Lake Isabel Dam

The word I am hearing from local Californians is that there are problems at these 2 dams also. Has anybody got any factual knowledge and/or experience on these dams?

Not the specific dams about which you inquired, but the Anderson Dam is going to get some extensive renovations.

Looks like some major storms headed for SoCal. See Cliff Mass weather blog. Reservoirs will fill, and probably some major mudslides. Stay safe down there!

Cliff Mass is at "Udub" (UW in Seattle) and focuses on Pacific Northwest weather, but sometimes as in this case covers other West Coast weather of interest.

Mudslides in recent burn areas are anticipated, so this is not a good day for travel.
