Yeah, 8 feet of rain in a day in Taiwanese highlands. Looks like the storm blew most of its wad on the island. Looking at the subtropic currents, it looks like a lot more moisture may be on the way. Meanwhile, Hawaii dodges a bullet...

I was watching some reports about it on the broadcast news.
I was surprised by how few people are reported dead.
Over 1.5 million are without power at the last report.
Almost as many people without water too.
I think that after it has died down a bit it might be interesting to look at again, from an urban preparedness perspective
