Cool beans

Eating local is awesome.

What was said regarding tomatoes that will ship well over great distances versus tomatoes that just taste good is very true. I forgot how much I loved tomatoes until I started visiting a couple of places nearby where food is grown locally. Now I go there whenever I can, and eat tomatoes like people eat peaches or apples.

I wish I knew of a coop around here or that delivered nearby.

If anyone is interested in one in Sacramento area of Northern California let me know I know of one that works similar.

You have at least two or three co-ops in NC, and another scheduled to open in '09. Bon Appetit!

Wow! I did find one coop that's not too bad a drive and a few farmer's markets within a couple of miles I didn't know about.

Awesome link! Thanks!

I'm a little far from North Carolina, but I have a few friends that do drive-throughs on the way up to D.C.. Maybe I can persuade one of them to do a pick up for me. laugh
