Suggestion for Lending Library

I'd just like to make a suggestion regarding the loaning of books, DVDs, etc. What I always do when I buy a new book is either write or apply a sticker containing all my information inside the front or back cover. It seems somebody borrows one and hangs onto it so long they may forget where they borrowed it from. It wouldn't be a bad idea for the kind folks here that loan their property out to adopt this practice?
