Stop me before I spend the money!

Okay, last weekend I take my brother in law to the local tobacco shop as he want's to buy a good cigar. While in the store I notice a great looking tin. It's 3 inches wide about 6 inches long and an inch deep. I asked the store clerk about it and she goes on to tell me all about how great this pipe tobacco is. She looked at me strangely when I asked her if I could just buy the tin. She said sure, for 16 dollars and she would throw in the tobacco for free! I love a good sense of humor!
So, talk me out of making this ridiculous purchase or failing that... anyone smoke a pipe?

Yup. I may have a tin that ya want. Send me a picture and see what I can dig up. I mostly smoke KAO stuff in round tins.

People sell empty tins on ebay all the time. Here is Erinmore's smaller tin....

Not exactly cheap for what most smokers likely think of as trash, but it is at least empty.

Instead of saying I should have said Help me justify spending the money!

That is the tin that I have my EDC PSK in, I keep it in a cordura pouch that I wear on my belt. I have no idea where I got it but it was the perfect size for this mini-kit.

I have had the tobacco tin problem before, (found the right tin but did not want to buy the tobacco); last time I waited and found the same tin at a gun shop full of bullets. I treated the gun shop salesman to a coffee/donut and he transferred the bullets to another container, problem solved.
