I survived 7/7/77, so I guess I handled '07 just fine. Didn't win the lotto tho...

I sure do, every year 5/5/5, 6/6/6, 7/7/7 Stone Brewing Co. the makers of Arrogant Bastard Ale comes out with a Vertical Epic Ale. I plan on picking some up next week. Sounds pretty lucky to me.

There is as much good luck in 7/7/07 as there is bad luck on Friday 13th. Life is what you make of it, not the silly superstition of the days of the calendar.

cheers.

7 is a significant number in most systems of numerology. That's nice. The next bit numerologists' mumbo jumbo (keep in mind, this is me talking) that comes to pass where it can be shown that there was no conscious intent nor subconscious impulse to capitalize on it will be the first.

I believe in fate, and in luck. But the 7-7-07 thing is just a quirk of a social construct that was created to make book keeping regular.

None of those dates really concern me. The only one I really pay attention to is saturday the 14th, now that's a scary day!

I don't believe in fate, luck (except as random chance influenced by outside factors), or any other superstition. Numerology, in particular, makes me chuckle; the belief that certain days could be more or less unlucky just because their callendar numbers include multiples of the number 7 is rediculous.

After all, callendars are nothing more than an artificial construct desined by humanity and changed multiple times over the last 2 millenia as our methods of tracking the passage of time became more exact, so 7/7/2007 could appear on many different callendars on different days of different years. Are they all luckier and we just don't know it because we don't use certain ancient callendars any more?

Was 7/7/0007 a lucky day even though the current callendar hadn't been invented yet and wouldn't be for over 1,000 more years?

If I make up my own callendar and include lots of 7s in it, will they all be lucky days?

If anything of Quantum Physical Theory is true, then it is possible that it is not a number itself that inherently has any power, but rather the observer's belief in such a thing where a number's power lies.

In other words, if it is believed that a number is lucky, then that number may be imbued with luck. To go along with that, a belief that there is no such thing as luck may well be the reason a person is not subject to luck.

That's all just simplified for the sake of brevity, of course.
