EDC discussion - 11/26/06 07:39 PM

Sorry to be a numpty, but recently there was a thread about EDC contents and an ensueing discussion whether it was necessary to carry so much kit. I found it very informative and wanted to come back to it for a further read, but when I use search "EDC" it doesn't come up. Can anyone remember it and what it was called, please?
Rather than start a thread, could you just PM me please?

I believe you are referring to this thread which has drifted to EDC: http://www.equipped.org/ubbthreads/showt...sb=5&o=

That's the chappie. It was Blasts comments that made me think hard. but it all seemed to get silly after someone mentioned prefering animals to humans. animals find it very difficult to say " thats life, deal with it, then move on " but (disclaimer ;-) )that's only my opinion. and all humans tend to give you theirs

used to have a large PSK jammed with everything from glue sticks, tools, and fishing gear to bullioun cubes and seasoning packets. I refer to it now as my "Batman" kit. To be honest, a lot of what I carried was there in case I got the chance to be a hero

It was insinuated but you spelled it out. Got me thinkin again Cheers

However, reading the 'carry a sewing kit' and how its necessary for survival etc made me chuckle. I work at various places in UK and 4 weeks into a 7 week shutdown an attractive busty girl in the management offices was about to lose the 3rd button on her white blouse. Other lads had discretely (not) pointed it out and her pained embarressment was killing her. I mentioned I had needles and black thread but if she had dental floss it would look better. Accepted the offer and for my last 3 weeks I didn't get one dirty job. Guess the needle is always worth it as long as clothes have stitches
