Problems with www.888knivesrus.com / Bark River - 03/03/06 11:28 PM

Ordered two Bark River knives from www.888knivesrus.com and have had one problem after another. I don't know if anyone else has had problems but for the few dollars you save I would think twice before ordering from them again.

If the problems are with the knives themselves, rest assurred that BRKT has a lifetime warranty and they will gladly repair or replace the knives at no cost to you. You can speak directly to Mike Stewart, owner of BRKT, either by calling him at 906-789-1801 or by going to the BRKT Forum at www.knifeforums.com.

Can't speak to the retailer you mention (and it sounds like your problem is with them), but I'll second SgtMike's comments about Bark River. You'll rarely find a more customer-oriented company than Mike Stewart/Bark River – and they produce good knives at a reasonable price.

(I have no affiliaton with BRK&T)

In the future I would recommend DLT Trading Company. I got a BRKT from them a few months ago and was very pleased with the transaction.

Short version of the problem is I paid on 2/13 and should receive the complete order on 3/8 if nothing else goes wrong. Problems start with we have knifes then a week later we only have one but will special order the other. Then they contact me and ask if I want to pay shipping twice or should they hold the knife they have and ship when the knife they don't have comes in. Then both knives come in and are shipped. When box arrives only one knive was included, email them and they told they were sorry and would shipped second knife. They shipped by UPS ground and another week wait. So if I would have known in the beginning that they did not have the knives I would not have ordered from them as the savings was less than $20 on a $250 plus dollar order. But it was always just another week and that was a month ago. The last straw was when the box finally arrive and the knife that they had held the order for was not even in the box and then instead of sending it overnight or priority mail they sent it by the slowest possible method UPS ground. Still don't have the knife and I kick my self everytime I think of the time and aggravation I got for trying to save a couple of dollars.

SgtMike88Ret is right about Mike Stewart and Bark River.

Brian is right about DLT Trading Company .

Sage Creek Outfitters are also on the ball.
