With reference to Cyberraven, if we start a flame war on this forum, are butane lighters and matches allowed, or should ignition be restricted to primitive techniques only?

Sorry, it's been a long day.....

Using such modern techniques to start a flame war is crass and an immediate sign of surrender. With primative techniques, my favorite is friction by rubbing two witty comments together until you get a spark. Blow this spark into some tinder of minor misunderstanding or misinterpretation and POOF! instant flame. Of course with this method, it is vitally important to keep your sense of humor absolutely dry.......

Isn't there an old Tom Lehrer line (this may be too far back for some of the younger members) about starting a fire by rubbing two Boy Scouts together?
