The Horror - 07/08/05 02:10 AM

I think an unexpected survival situation in Alaska right about now would be almost welcome. It wasn't that long ago we were looking at the mass destruction from a Tsunami. Then we had what seemed like the kidnapped, molested and murdered child of the week culminating in the tragedy in Idaho. I go to get gasoline this morning and run into an old acquaintance from the irish-american community. " Ah,Chris, It seems the arabs turn to have a slap at Britannia-wink wink nudge nudge." I had enough. I slapped him-hard " and theres a slap for you for being thicker than a Belfast brick." I can only think of Marlon Brando gasping his last lines in Apocalypse Now," the horror, the horror, the horror." Hug your kids and loved ones people.

Don't forget to hug your friends, to. You get to pick them, not your family- let them remember why they got picked.

Be nice to your co-workers, and the regulars on your commuter route if you use public transit.

And maybe hug your dog/cat/snake/horse/iguana/computer. Don't hug the fish, though, they don't like it very much.

I think your friend might come to see that *some* of those Arabs, (Jihadists, etc), -Don't like such a Catholic/Christian Culture and Country as his own, either. Britain is predominantly Protestant, and the Irish Republic predominantly Roman Catholic. Some of those outsiders see the "Same Difference" here! Both, to them, -are of the Christian, Developed, West. He may find that "the Enemy of his Enemy", is NOT his Friend! [color:"black"] Chris Kavanaugh
