LOL.
First thing, he is funny.

OK.
Serious part of the subject.
I really didn't understand him.

He says that the backpack is not enough to carry all his stuff.
So, he adds a duffel bag to carry extra stuff.
This much is logical

But he also he says that he has knee issues and cannot carry heavy loads. This is the part I failed to understand. If he isn't carrying the duffle bag , then what is his plan ??? And if he is carrying the duffle bag, then what is his point ??

I am missing something here.

The impression I got is that he cannot carry anything in addition to what he has for the stated reason.

I watched the video dutifully and nearly died laughing. The narrator clearly has minimal experience, if any, in hiking or backpacking, even in normal circumstances, much less emergencies.

A three day backpack is a relatively short excursion, very easy to equip. You certainly don't need a fresh pair of pants each day, and they certainly would not be cotton blue jeans. I coadd go on....

This is a perfect example of why I don't waste my time on Utube videos. I have better ways to waste my time

If he's packing food for 2 people in the duffel, what's the 2nd person carrying?!

It's like packing for going to a designated campsite.

I often feel reluctant about taking advice from Youtube videos. Often the people who made them are enthusiasts, not experts. The ones I've seen in my professional field (made by amateurs) are often either misleading, plain wrong, or lacking in informational value. Interestingly, youtube, as a hosting platform, also has videos of real experts in my field speaking on the subject of their subspecialization, and these videos are never popular. It seems that people as a whole prefer bad information to good.

Good education videos take a lot of time to make and on youtube gets too little views, so not worth it to make them for youtube. Youtube is more entertaining.

The best videos are the ones that are put on by school/college/university's. Some are shielded by a hidden URL and only accessible when linked through their course. There are a lot of free courses.

New pair of pants every day??!!
I use 1 pair for about 6 months and I donīt wash that pair either. Mind you, I donīt wear pants at home, there I am in my undies. So those pants get used a few hour per week only. Donīt go out much.
