Yet another fault in California with the potential to rupture. We can be certain it will let go in due course, but we just don't know when (given the present state of knowledge).

It would be a good idea to keep your gas tank full, because petroleum might be scarce, and prices would most likely rise. For millions of people, that will be far down their list of problems.

Thanks for the heads up. As with the other warning thread, if it’s a short term issue where hurricane preps are sufficient — no big deal. If filling my gas tank and taking a little extra cash out of an ATM is all that’s required, that too is not a problem. On the contrary, I don’t need a reason to fill the tank in the truck, it’s full now. Letting the tank get below half full would be atypical.
