So here's another quick cook dish for you to try.

1/4 cup regular couscous (not Israeli style)
1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
2 Tblsp butter powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 Tblsp dried parsley flakes
3/4 cup boiling water

As before, combine all dry ingredients and seal in a vacuum bag packet. This yields a bit more than 300 calories, and protein content is still good. Combine packet contents with boiling water and let sit for a couple minutes till the couscous sucks up all the water. An interesting twist on this would be to add just a tablespoon of dehydrated shrimp bits to the packet. It adds great flavor, though takes a bit longer to rehydrate completely (maybe another couple minutes, and a bit more water).

I've got more coming.

Nice! This requires a camping trip to confirm it's goodness. grin

I've never tried it like this, packaged for camping, but my wife makes a side dish with those same ingredients, but she adds chopped up cashews. Really good stuff!
