Wow! That's awesome, and quite a coup. It's not easy to get M390 and few companies use it. IMOHO it's one of the best knife steels on the planet! I need another folder like a nuclear sub needs a screen door but I might have to get on anyway.

I have a couple of kitchen knives in M390 and I've found edge retention is maybe four times better than Super Aogami! There's really nothing I've used that can best it significantly, certainly nothing affordable. It takes a very keen edge as well.

Mine are on the way!

My two favorite folders are my Mk1 and my mini-Mk1 -- I carry the mini almost every day that I'm not flying. I keep it very sharp and the mechanism works like it was brand new after over four years of hard use. I have exactly zero reason to replace either in terms of performance. I'm getting the new ones 'cause I got a promotion and I can .

The only reason(s) I need to buy another RSK is (1) because I like the knife ergonomics (grip & blade profile) and (2) based on other M390 knives I have (BM 710) the blade steel is simply outstanding.
