And last time I looked, the antiques like that are classed as curios, but IIRC any new ones might qualify as NFA items.

Sure is. But I won't hold my breath waiting for any insurance company to cover it. Having a dr write out a prescription and having your insurance company approve it are two different things...

Update: The FDA has declared the “Palm Pistol” unable to be classified as a medical device. No more claiming it on your insurance.
