Survivorman On-stage! - 07/15/08 03:20 AM

Hi all,

Well after a trying day I had a terrific experience this evening.

I had the privilage to be in the second row of a small crowd to see Les Stroud perform in front of a 6 man band. This was his first time presenting this group live and it was a real treat.

The music was a mixture of upbeat country/rock with lots of blues, it was my kind of music; the neat thing was that portions of the show Survivorman played on a giant screen in the background, including lots of new stuff. Les was very easy-going onstage and spoke quite a bit about the show, his love of nature, his family and music. The show is quite high-energy and the band is very talented.

If you enjoy this type of music and get a chance to see Les and his band, I recommend it as a worthwhile event.

I am glad I went, and I got the T-Shirt, heck I even bought the CD's to play in the work truck when I am in the bush tomorrow.

Awesome.

He composes the music for most of his shows, and in "Off the Grid" his band is there at his new home for a rehearsal, but I can't remember if they played anything.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a CD.
