That's actually about $4.85 a Gallon since our respective dollars are valued the same these days. Prices out West are the same. The've jumped about 5 cents/L since Friday. Our gas has cost more than US gas for a while now. When I drove to San Francisco last October I loved the California prices and they weren't even the best in the country.

Pretty sad when you consider how much of that oil and gas come from right here in Alberta.

Man, this shouldn’t be in the Lending Library. I thought we were lending out gasoline at first, and was about to sign up numerous times.

When we drove to Alaska a couple of years ago, we paid as much as $1.39 (Canadian) a liter in BC (which we determined means Bring Cash). I believe that will work out to over $5 a gal way back then.

Couple of days ago I saw diesel at a truck stop in central California going for $5.02 a gallon...

Amazing how quickly the prices are shooting up... And the price is always based on speculation and not on supply/demand!

It is over $4.00 down in the Philly suburbs. What I find even odder is that the price used to be cheaper in the PA NE... Often times, gas prices are worse up there than outside of Philly.

Hmm, and I was reading an article this morning about $9 gas in Europe however 70% of the cost in Britain and France is taxes compared to 11% in the US. I am planning a 4000 km road trip to our southern neighbours for my vacation - why?? because the gas is freaking cheap comparatively down there!

"...because the gas is freaking cheap comparatively down there!..."

I would suggest that you skip CA, OR, and WA if you want comparatively cheap fuel...

$10.27 CAD for a gallon (1 Can Gallon = 4.546 Liters) of unleaded petrol in my part of the uk and $8.61 USD per gallon (1 U.S. Gallon = 3.785 Liters)

i moved to homebrew bio diesel laat year but it is getting hard to source used cooking oil now.

I saw a report on the news the other day. A couple that owns a small trucking company in Arizona is driving 150 miles south to buy diesel in Mexico and bring it back because it only costs $2.50 per gallon there. It's the only thing they can do to keep themselves in business.
