Picked up a new sharp for the collection. - 03/03/08 10:16 PM

I really have wayyyy too many knives already, but being my name is Paul and the profit goes to ETS I figured I had to pick one of these up before they're gone. smile

This is my second Lone Wolf Paul knife, and I love them. The make great (in)pocket knives because they lock both open and closed, yet can still be opened (and closed) one handed.

The fit and finish is very good (slight play when closed, but otherwise no noticeable flaws or defects). The button was very stiff out of the box, but after playing with it a bit, it's perfect.

Size wise, this is definitely a gent's folder. It's about the same size as an 84mm swiss army knife, though with a wider and slightly thicker blade. The slight recurve makes for an excellent cutter, especially when it comes to rope or twine. In hand it feels reasonably comfortable and solid, though a bit small in my monster-sized mits.

My only gripe is the lack of a lanyard hole, but I guess if one desired to attach a lanyard, it could be tied around one of the round back spacers. I can see why it was omitted though, as the blade fills up the majority of the handle and there isn't very much space for one. Still, it's one of those things I like to see on a knife of this size.

All in all, I think it's an excellent dress carry knife. As an EDC, I would find it to be a bit on the small size. It may end up replacing my Benchmade 310 as my suit pocket knife, or it may end up in my curio cabinet next to my other high end blades. I haven't decided yet. It's almost too nice looking to use. grin

In the words of my father, if you're looking for a great "Sunday-Go-to-meetin'" knife I wouldn't pass it over. The price may sound like a lot, but compared to the price of a William Henry, CR Mnandi, or other similar dress knives it's a steal. Just as functional, if not more so, and very good looking.
