Anyone ever give any thought to using the smoke bombs in a hiking kit? Some of the larger, $1 ones seem to put out a surprising amount of smoke.

In my big truck kit I carry a U.S.Navy Mark 13 Mod.0 orange smoke and red flare in one unit. They put out a lot of smoke and it's orange color tells everyone it's not a camp fire.
