Amazing fresnel lens

I just purchased an amazing fresnel lens. It's about 7" by 10" and I couldn't believe the power of it! I've never seen anything like it. It produces heat within seconds and you can hardly even look towards the point of light. I purchased it from kensolar.com/

Whatcha gonna do with it? Kinda big (and fragile) to carry around...

It's pretty stiff and heavy duty; I think it could lay somewhere in a backpack? Maybe between some other items.

Have fun. If that doesn't work, you could maybe install it in your house, pointing at that neighbor you don't like anyway...

Office supply stores like Staples and Office Depot/Office Max usually have these in stock as "sheet magnifiers" for those of us with aging eyes. Some bookstores stock them too.

Ok,OK, I get it. Finally. I thought you guys were talking about the glass "bullseye" type of lenes, not the flexible plastic things. Senior moment I guess, or it came from just reading a Jimmy Buffett book about fresnel lenses and light houses...

Maybe a mini-version. You look up fresnel lense in the book of all knowledge, and it talks about lighthouse lenses for pages and pages, in the fine print near the bottom it kindasorta skips over the little flexible plastic thingies.

Cut me some slack OK, I'm older than dirt, had a hard day, didn't sleep well last night, missed lunch, am older than dirt, didn't get my after dinner toddy, am older than dirt, it's Jimmy Buffetts fault, the excuse list goes on and on...
