We can help the Hood climbers right now - 12/14/06 05:33 AM

Doug mentions a small item for survival we don't talk about much, probably because I'm good at upseting some people over it. This piece of survival gear has more variations, advocates and schools of thought than all the combined knife posts combined. It's callled a small tract or book of spiritual comfort. We can't do much for those climbers beyond this. So, from the relative comfort of our shelters lets pray as a community. Please post your favourites or spontaneous ones here.

I think over again my small adventures. My fears, those small ones that seemed so big, for all the vital things I had to get and reach. And yet there's only one thing, the only thing. To live to see the great day that dawns, and the light that fills the world.--- Inuit prayer in time of adversity

I pray that God will grant them strength to endure, peace to allow them to rest when needed and think before acting, and wisdom to do what is necessary. I pray too that He grants them and their loved ones comfort in these trying times.

Amen

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

8We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up. 9In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again.
