Dental Floss

I saw dental floss touted in other threads and did not want to hijack the threads, so...

What are your impressions of using dental floss for other than your teeth? I have found on the very few times I have tested it, that it comes undone pretty quickly.

I am keeping the floss in my kit because it is small and I rather use dental floss on my teeth and gums than fishing line. I am adding spectra line for small cordage. I found some in yellow in 50 lb test with a 12 lb test diameter. I don't think fish will care whether it is yellow or not, but I haven't tested it fishing yet. I just wanted it visible.

For small cordage I keep artificial senew in all my kits. I haven't been able to break a piece of it yet. It holds a knot pretty good too.

I have used it for a variety of sewing needs, most often sewing a button back on, and have always had good luck with it...
