Doug: on the ETS blog you mentioned the seminars you're going to give at the AOPA expo:

"...I will present three seminars at AOPA Expo in Palm Springs that could save your life some day...I will be presenting a two-part “Ditching and Water Survival” program on Friday and a seminar on “Equipping Yourself To Survive” on Saturday."

Have you considered having those seminars recorded and perhaps making them available for download or purchase? I for one would love to come hear you speak but there's no way I can be there for the event. I'd bet that others here on the forum would be interested too.

I'll give it some thought, but in the past when we have video recorded a seminar, for personal critique purposes, I haven't been impressed with the quality. Adequate for a critique, but too poor quality for anything else and definitely not up to my standards for anything I would associate myself with. Moreover, I'd be concerned that it might detract from the seminar. As I said, I'll give it some thought.

I don't know anything about them, but the thought did occur to me that you could do a seminar twice: once as usual, and again for the camera, with appropriate lighting & conditions. Tape the original if you're allowing Q&A, and have someone ask the same questions for the second one.

Just a thought. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

From a teacher's prospective... that sounds like a whole lot of extra work. And knowing how busy Doug already is...
