One of my forum friends pointed out that some people (perhaps many people) misunderstand my signature line "Hemp and music can change the world".

Some people use the words "hemp" and "marijuana" interchangibly, however the words are not interchangable.

Hemp and marijuana are cousins in the plant world, they are not the same plant. Hemp has a very low THC (the chemical in marijuana that gets one high) content. Hemp is used for food, fiber, fuel, etc.

Being from a farming state I use a corn analogy: hemp and marijuana are like sweet corn and seed corn. With the corn, you could eat either sweet corn or seed corn. But sweet corn is designed for eating and seed corn is designed for growing more corn, so eating the sweet corn would probably make you a whole lot happier.

You could smoke either hemp or marijuana, but if you smoke hemp, all you get is a headache (so I've been told) and marijuana is what gets you high.

For the record, I've never smoked either.

If you would like to know why I believe hemp can change the world, try reading http://www.rawganique.com/whyhemp.htm

Sorry, but I'm not figuring out how to make links here.

The reason I believe in music so much is that I'm a music teacher and music therapist <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
