Looks like a good start.

Can you list the contents, hard to see exactly what is what.

How much food and water is in it?

What do you need BOB to do for you?

I'd say that is a great start. There are some quality items in there that I keep in my own very carfully thought out BOB, such as the mainstay rations. It's ofcourse difficult to tell based just on the pic since some items are difficult to identify, but as far as I can tell there is nothing in there that could actually make a situation worse so you're doing quite well from the get go. I'd say youre already 10 steps ahead of the average Joe with that BOB as your sole means of preparation. That fact that you bought it and you're posting a thread here to ask about it means that you have a survival mindset and are actually thinking ahead of time about how to prepare for and survive a disaster and that in itself is worth a lot!

Add a good blade, a good lihgt, and 2 more sources of fire, and you are on your way.

Mike,

As others have remarked, it is a good start. Review Doug's kits and do a forum search on kits and kit contents etc. Set the search parameters to all forums and dates.

Off the cuff suggestions:
Two different types of fire starters and tinder.
Signal Mirror.
Compass.
There are many other items that could be added and it is virtually a certainty that others will chime in with various neat things to have in such a kit. I'm not sure how many folks that your kit is to support, but would venture that at least two would not be unreasonable, in which case doubling up on things is not a bad idea, i.e. two whistles, mirrors, knives, you get the drift...

Here's the important thing to keep in mind. This is very much a one person kit. Only enough food and water for one person and only 1 N95 mask (just as an example).

I think I paid $39 at Sams. The last time I looked they didn't have any more in stock, at least not in our area!

Mike,
I think it's a good buy and a good start. I got one by the same company, but a little less well stocked, at Home Depot for $27. Here's some of the changes I made:
-- I found the flashlight to be junk; it broke when I was checking it out. Replaced it with a $10 Brinkman 2AA-powered light with a xenon bulb that I've had good results from.
-- Replaced the FAK with one by Advenutre Medical Kits that I had in the apartment and otherwise unassigned.
-- Had an extra one of Doug's PSKs, so I threw it in there. Also put in a Mini Bic and some MicroPur tabs.
-- Added a Leatherman. I'd also been looking for an excuse to order a SOG Field Pup, so I did, and put it in there. Also put in a small sharpening stone.
-- Wasn't impressed with their duct tape. Replaced it with a role of 3M.
-- My kit didn't have gloves, so I added a pair.
-- Threw in some cordage that I picked up at Home Depot. Also some split rings, carabiners, zip ties.
-- Added some single paks of coffee (the tea bag style) and a metal cup. I always need a cup of java.
-- Added a bandanna, Wet Ones wipes and couple rolls of campers toliet paper.
-- Put in one of those little Sharpies and a small notebook.
