I was looking at this

http://www.nitro-pak.com/product_info.php/cPath/40_64/products_id/819

And was wondering if anybody had any experiences with it? I was thinking of using it as a conjunction to micropur MP1 tablets, or as an emergency backup. The price is attractive, but I don't have very much experience with filters.

Excellent thinking. Pack one with a gallon ziplock bag and some micropur tablets.

I have one in my hiking kit. I have no idea if it's any good or not. Figured it couldn't hurt. I imagine I would go for boiling or water purification tables first, but this is in the kit as another option - either as an addition to other methods, or as a stand-alone. I bought it because it was cheap and small.
