AN Australian man has told how he and two companions survived nearly seven weeks adrift in the Pacific Ocean in a six-metre open dinghy.

The fishing must have been pretty good. The picture from article 1 shows an individual that does not look like he suffered from lack of food for 45 days.

Somewhere near the end of the first article, it says "They were in good health. They still had some food and drink aboard."
I wonder how long more they could have lasted...

Call me a sceptic, but I just don't buy the story.

No burns on his face, nose, or shoulders from sun and wind exposure.

No cracks on the same areas or his lips from inadequate liquid intake.

No muscle definition or portruding shoulder bones from the lack of fatty deposits which the body would have consumed.

For those of you better qualified in search and rescue, please explain if I am missing something.
