My non-serrated one handed Trekker - 01/17/05 09:16 AM

Tonight I had to go to Target for something and as usual I stopped by the knives just to see what was there. There was one black handled one handed trekker left so I bought it as I don't have one and I like the design. Well, after playing with it for a while I decided it would be a good knife for my camping bag, but the serrations really wern't doing it for me. I took my diamond stone out and started by grinding the edge right off (holding the blade 90* to the stone). Then I ground the serrations off the side and evened out the sides. I then took my sharpmaker to it giving it as fine a 30* edge as it would give. Finished that off with a bit of stropping and now this knife is perfect for me and will shave hair from tip to back. It took about an hour to do. For those of you who were afraid of buying this knife do to the serrations remember that you can always take them off. <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I don't know about everyone else, but I would like to see a pic of the finished product. Very cool work.
