Witz Cases - 12/07/03 04:52 PM

Just checking to see if anyone out there has used these Witz cases for kit boxes...they look like they would be great...The smaller, thinner ones are about the same size as an altoids tin...and the waterproof, hard plastic has to be a plus...not very expensive either...they look like the same boxes used by ProSurvival...let me know what you think...www.witzprod.com.

I've actually seen one of those. An Avaya rep gave one to my boss with their logo. I thought it was pretty nice and thought about picking up one. The only thing I didn't like about it was the seal looked like it was too hard of rubber and was permantly deformed so I didn't think it would seal quite as tight as it should. This looked exactly like it but I don't know if it was exactly the same brand or a copy.

Hello !

I have two of those, carried in my EDC "fanny bag" :
* one, red, contains my mini-FAK
* the other one, blue, contains the following items (to give an idea of what can be put inside) :
-- two empty ziplock bags
-- micropur tabletts
-- one starflash mirror
-- 35 euros
-- one small silva button compass
-- mini fishing kit (from a Victorinox kit ; nothing serious, just because I had it)
-- needles, thread, buttons, safety pins...
-- 1 fresnel lens
-- 1 mini BIC lighter
-- 1 sparklight + some tinder (cotton wool + petroleum jelly, in sealed plastic straws) >>> I should put some more ....
-- 1 birthday magic candle
-- 2 x CR123 spare batteries (for my Surefire 6P)
-- 2 x spare button cells for my white Photon 3 (I should add a cell for the red one, too...)
-- 1 ball pen lead

Hey Frenchy

What size is your case? Does your kit fit in the smaller version or the standard size? Thanks.

It's the one that is supposed to held a pack of cigarettes, about 65 x 105 x 30 mm (outside measures).

[editing ...] I check on Witz web site : I guess it's the Keep-it Safe model, compact size = 2.7" Wide x 4.3" High x 1.3" Deep. Those are outside measures, including the lanyard hole
[end editing]

The Keep-it Safe FAK model was not available where I bought my boxes.
Anyway, I guess the nice white cross would easily and rapidly wear off
