Nevermind. I bought a Schrade for half the price of a Micra. Conclusion: You get what you pay for.

"Audaces Fortuna Iuvat"

I haven't even seen the Tough Chip. I've had a Micra for some weeks now, and have been pleased, with the exception of the color finish, which is close to 20 percent gone (flaked and chipped) in just a few weeks. There's also no point to it, all of the colors actually reduce visibility against most backgrounds. I'd advise getting the plain stainless version. This seems like the sort of thing that could mar the reputation of an otherwise good company- too bad.

Have had a Micra for a long time and use it all the time. Small blade very sharp. Use the small srew driver all the time to fix glasses, radios, small toys for the kids. The larger plain tip have used to pry small thing apart. After you use the scissors for a while they do become loose but thats after cutting spider wire, speaker wire, and cardboard spacers. Will by another if this one wears out. Have never seen the Schrade.

Rick
Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.

Kodiak,

Let me know when you want to move up to a Micra, and I'll give you a good deal. I have one of the first ones (Leatherman Micra) and it's still going strong.
