Get a pack of the clear plastic screen protectors made for PDAs. Get the kind that has no adhesive. Trim it to size, clean & dry the reflective surface of your signal mirror, then apply it. Leave enough of a tab to pull it away with. I wrote "PEEL OFF" in red marker on mine 'cuz the stuff is very clear yet would still impede reflection to some degree.

Works great and keeps your mirror scratch-free as it rides in your PSK.

Great idea. I've done this to protect the screens or radios, flashlights and other small electronic devices, and it works as advertised.

I've also heard it's possible to buy bulk clear vinyl at a fraction of the cost of the so-call PDA covers, though I have not found a source, yet. I seem to remember a discussion of this on candlepowerforums.com.

For clear vinyl, my wife says to check a fabric store. the larger ones should carry it.

I picked up some of the PDA protectors last year at Staples (office supply store) for about $14.00. I put a cut-to-size piece on my signal mirror a few months ago and haven't had any problems. Works great on my PDA, too!
