Water from water vapour - self reliance

Here's something interesting to those who are interested in having self reliant source of water.
A device which condenses the water vapour from the air and filters it and sotres it. Seems a neverending source of water if your air is humid enough....

Off side is that you electricity to run it and the filter needs to be changed about once a year. Of course I suppose you could always divert the water to another type of filtration device if necessary.

Or you can run your Air Conditioning and collect all the water that gets expelled from the humid hot air during cooling process...

There is a home sized device on the market... not cheap, but interesting. It is called liquid air . I think it would be a cool idea, except it is too expensive for their original intent of providing clean water to 3rd world countries. It collects water from ambient humidity and filters it, then uses UV light to purify further, then stores it. The stored water is recirculated to keep it clean.

It seems to me these are nothing more than dehumidifiers with filters and UV germicidal lights. One could go out and buy a dehumidifier and filtration pump for much less. The downfall, as I see it, is they require power. Likely quite a lot, so to be self-sufficient, you must now add in the cost of power generating equipment. Pete
