Many many thanks. This time we are no go. I am 16 hrs away from the area and the first two waves of the rolling start for aid and SAR has been adequate. I recieve info from the area. 12 buildings collapsed including a dormitory for a secondary school with 234 students sleeping in. There are many state and military USAR teams at the scene. 55 rescued, work still continues.

I would deploy the team anyway if I did not hear good news from the villages in the mountains etc. But the need for rescue is in the city center which is already being taken care of by the present teams. Thanks God it is an area with rare population.

Half an hour ago I cancelled the deployment alert for the team with the info recieved from the Civil Defence authority.

So many thanks again,
Burak
