Water from seeps

I have read many scenarios where a survivor can hear the ice melt running below the surface of rocks but can't find any near the surface. I've looked through the internet but all of the instructions have you digging through the dirt to find seeps.

Are there any videos showing how to use the teflon tube in Doug's mini kit? The only luck I have had is seeing a trickle of water to far down to reach so I pump it out with a water filter.

Never encountered the problem. If you are dealing with snow melt, usually there is plenty of water close by. Seeps I have encountered in the desert sometimes were improved by digging, but even this was fairly rare.

On my favorite route on my favorite mountain in Arizona, we would pass by Juniper Seep, frequently dry as a bone, but often offering water that could be scooped with a cup - delicious!!

I would just use the tube to suck the water out or start a siphon if possible.
