Woman Lost 6 Weeks in New Zealand Bush - 02/08/17 10:58 PM

Remarkable NZ story. A woman with a lot of bush experience set out on a four day hike, got disoriented, injured her leg, and kept herself alive for six weeks while finding her way out.

Lots of classic woulda-shoulda takeaways here, the first of which is to leave specific information so that people know when you are overdue and where to look. Better all around.

But I have to voice some admiration as well. She obviously has strong survival skills, the wit to use them, and the will to keep going. A win is a win.
