if you are in the Prairie de Chien,Wisconsin area this weekend there will be a camp meeting of the stove collectors group at the Wyalusing State Park,Wisconsin Ridge campgrounds-sites 101-104.you can see these old kero burners in action and we will be happy to answer questions and do some demo's--PROBLEM--we have found out there is a $10 FEE just to get into the park so unless you are there for something else that's a steep price just to look over some old gear.we will be there until Sunday noon.

Cool... I love stoves. I have a primus model 00 that I've beaten to death. Virtually indestructible, no moving parts in any the hot section, ... love it smile

One year, I'll bite the bullet and join the annual meeting in the Norwegian Primus Union to do the camp-in-a-tent-with-a-classical-stove ritual. The only caveat is that you have to arrive in style... on a motorcycle. In February. In Bjoneroa, which not only a bitterly cold place in winter, it is also a 7 hour drive from where I live. Expected temperatures would be in the range from -20 to -30 Celsius (-4 to -22 F). Brrrr...

Blast..i'm just the tip of the iceberg,a lowly Enthusiast.the Collectors have rooms full of this stuff in grade A #1 shape, rare and weird stoves from all over the world.the camp meetings in Taiwan,Sweden, the UK all draw 30-40 or more guys who have contests to see what country can light the most stoves at one time.this is just going to be a handful of Midwest guys goofing around with stoves for the weekend.
Mostly--i'll bet your one of the CCS gang, the train driver from Norway???--Doug--Yup..lots of photos----
