Bluetooth EDC - 10/06/09 07:12 PM

I've been celebrating my wireless headset ever since I got it. It's like one of those Babylon 5 communicators, only it doesn't take up your hands.[/spam]

It then dawned on me that mounting an LED on top would create the ultimate EDC flashlight. Never mind Ear lite, I came up with it first!

Oh.

Crap. There goes my patent. Anyway, does this seem viable to anyone but me?

Nice a show as Babylon 5 was (and I liked B5), this gadget is not B5 tech.

Ear communicators -- Look at Uhura's gear in the original Star Trek.

I think I have everything B5 related. All the series DVD's, the movies, and even the spinoff Crusade. They ended the spin off series far too abruptly. It would be difficult to get the original series started again, considering two of the pivotal actors are deceased.

You keep the communicator, I want Uhura! Er... the 1960s version, not the current model!

Assimilation was painless for you, wasn't it. smile

Just a few too many functions. I can see a laserpointer/penlight, but not a laser pointer, light AND borgbud in one package.

I'll hold out for next years model. The new ones are supposed to have even more stuff built in. Currently planned is the addition of a PEZ dispenser and CO2 balloon inflator.

Looks like a 1970's "neck massager"

I'm sorry, but I think bluetooth earpieces are strictly for private in-car use, and like using a urinal, you should ensure that you keep your equipment discrete and not have it hanging out in public.
