The 100% Non-Hypothetical Kit, Revisited

About a year ago, I posted about the kit that I've gradually assembled over the years, this is the kits that's in my vehicle at all times, and it's the kit that I use on actual emergency scenes, all the time.

There's been a few changes over the last year, mostly in that the kit has been split into two bags - one is gear and gadgets, the other is clothing.

What's important to note about this bag is that everything in it - to the last item - has had more than one actual use in an actual emergency situation. It's been pruned and adapted to an extensive degree.

I'll start with the Gear and Gadgets bag.

FIRST AID
Nothing spectacular here, just a lot of gauze sponges (4x4), cling-wrap, Nitrile Gloves, Medic Shears, Burn Gel, an assortment of adhesive bandages, a stethoscope and BP cuff. Some antibiotic ointment, Tylenol and immodium are the total pharmacy. Also in there are tweezers.

Martin, I'm disappointed in you. Usually you are most precise. So, I'm forced to ask:
Exactly what brand of Cigar? Mine do repel bugs, but unfortunately attract hords of begging buddies.

Nice - what kind of bag - call-out I assume?

Could I recommend a bigger bottle of sanitizer, sunscreen and sunglasses?

When they reciprocate about as often as you give them cigars, this is not really an issue. When they don't, are they really buddies? Reciprocity can come in many forms. A man who brought me a fine beverage would be welcome to an equally fine cigar from me. If he brought nothing, I'd soon be giving him cigars not worth smoking or nothing.

Great kit. Can we assume you have something on your head? With a cigar clamped in your mouth and the ANSI vest, a hard hat would complete the picture and make you look like a member of the PADOT or something.

And I'm curious, what seat belt cutter do you have? I've made up my mind to upgrade to a Benchmade 7Hook after seeing it slice seatbelts like butter in a drill last week.

Why the UV dye in the pepper spray?

Martin, no N95 or other dust/smoke/pathogen mask under Personal Protective Equipment? Am I missing something?

An N95 mask and cigars would seem to be opposites.

I've been thinking about carrying an N95 more as I get older and my asthma gets worse.

Ironially, I don't go anywhere without a cuban cigar of some kind. My EDC kit includes a cutter just in case I need to restock on the fly.

Now this is the kind of person you want to find to hang around. I do know a few guys who always have a few good smokes.

The uv dye is a marker, this way when LEO finds the suspect they can verify that he's been maced.

Great kit. One suggestion, since its a vehicle kit I would throw in at least another liter of water. Good tobacco always makes me a little thirsty. Also it appears your batteries may literally outweigh your water...now, cigars I can understand, but batteries over water? I guess that is just the californian in me. We are so dry out here. With all the fires locally I don't even have to buy my smokes I just go outside and breathe in deeply.

Nice kit, sounds like the same things I carry when "on-duty" with the ambulance squad. I have a few differences in my kit, but it could almost pass for what I carry.

One question I have is...Does all of this ride in one carrier (container) or in a modular system?
