Anyone know if anyone is going to produce a new Rambo knife/machete based on the new Rambo movie?

Quick knife review: The latest Rambo knife reflects the series;older, softer temper, faulty grip and a sheath as secure as the script.limited edition and lets hope that many sell.

Definitely a case where life should not imitate art.

Hmmmmm.....kinda looks like a chineese broad sword. Only shorter and without a ring shaped pommel.

I certainly will beware of cheap copies. After all, it isn't often one can purchase a gen-u-ine bowie machete like this.

Remember, this is a Rambo 4 IV (sorry, I stutter a bit).

Looks like the knife I made out of scrap steel back when was 9yo. If you want a good fuctional and inexpensive 12" machete forget that thing and get an Ontario 12" with the molded on handle for 20bux at most online knife shops it'll serve you better.

Wow, a resonably useful looking Rambo knife. #1 was OK, then they went nutso, seems to be coming back to useful again. But no way would I buy one...

You could go to the junkyard, find an old leaf spring, and make a set of your own with a decent grinder and a bucket of water.

Re: New Rambo Machete - 02/08/08 08:19 PM

To do this he obtains an iron leaf spring and forges a crude blade from it. Not only that, a new sheath is fashioned from the one that housed the former Rambo knife

This has to be the biggest pice of *(&(. I have a knife made from a jeep leaf spring and it will not hold an edge to save JR's life. WHAT A JOKE and it will only cost you a $1000.00+ to find out. Just buy a marchete from wal-mart it will serve you better.

cheers

Actually, other than the first Rambo, which wasn't a bad looking blade (for a large knife), this is the best looking Rambo yet. As I recall (I only saw 2 and 3 once), the others were a real joke...
