A very silly flashlight question... - 01/08/08 07:19 PM

I recently purchased one of the Pelican L1 model flashlights (the kind that runs on the L44 button cells) and personally I like it and couldn't be happier.

However, when the time comes to change the batteries, how do I accomplish this without breaking the thing? The instructions say "remove the LED/battery tray assembly". But it seems like it doesn't want to come out. Do I pull the thing out with pliers, pull it out with a paper clip, or what? Anyone else have one of these with which to help me out?

I belive that once you unscrew the head, you can push on the rubber button and the battery holder will come right out.

I find taking the cap off and tapping it on a hard surface works well.

Thanks Alan and Frenchy! The thing came right out. Now that I know how to get the batteries out without hassle I'm going to buy more L1's! Mwah-hah-hah-hah!
