Not bad at all.

It's simple enough for the people who have the money to get the stuff and have it on hand, then figure out how it works when the time comes. Which is probably the best-case scenario.

Yummy, an extremely expensive Freeze dried meal made up with cold water. grin Or if you have access to the kitchen microwave will heat up about 10 cups of boiling water before the 40 W panel Solar Panel takes about another 4 or 5 winter days (if your lucky) of winter sunshine to recharge the 51Ahr battery in the Xantrex 852-1802 XPower 1800 inverter (solar generator!! Huh). Weird how the experts get the basics wrong assuming that all folks will want to do is keep electronic gadgets up and running like there iPhones etc, while they freeze to death consuming 25 year life time storage cold freeze died meals that take a few hours to prepare (haven't they heard about canned goods which are available from the local supermarket). And all for the princely sum of $2000. The flashlight choice was weird as well, whats wrong with a cheap and cheerful Maglite D cell or connecting an up lighter lamp with a 3W LED bulb which costs $10 to the Xantrex? The rather expensive hand pump action Katadyn mini Ceramic Filter wasn't really the best choice for a home filter either, let gravity do the work!! i.e. a Big Berkey Stainless Steel water filter.
